About Michele

Michele is the Head of Succession & Elder Law practice group at Wilson Lawyers.

Michele is an expert in succession and elder law and one of the most passionate, empathetic and enthusiastic lawyers you will find.  Michele is a self-confessed succession nerd and is very active in the succession and elder law industry helping her maintain her knowledge and a healthy appreciation for the modern complexities of both areas of practice. Michele is one of few practitioners who has a Masters of Laws (Wills & Estates) (what does this mean?).

Michele has devoted her practice almost exclusively to succession and elder law and has gained extensive experience in multiple jurisdictions including Queensland, New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory. Michele shares her passion of all things succession and elder law by writing and publishing updates of cases and articles from around the country that deal with all aspects of wills, estates, retirement villages and aged care and is regularly invited to speak at industry conferences and community engagements.

Known for her technical expertise, patience and compassion, Michele is sought out by clients and colleagues who seek advice delivered in a clear and pragmatic fashion.  Michele can assist with all matter types; no matter how simple and procedural or complex and unique.

Michele is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) which is a world-wide professional association for practitioners dealing with family inheritance and succession planning.  STEP members are subject to a Code of Professional Conduct to act with integrity and in a manner that inspires confidence, respect and trust of their clients and of the wider community and are widely recognized as specialist professionals in the trusts and estates industries.

In addition to all the above, and as a true “succession nerd”, Michele also has a blog devoted to different case reviews and legal updates related to all things succession and elder law at www.micheledavis.com.au.

Fast and efficient replies to emails. Everything explained clearly. Plenty of time to digest information. Made to feel at ease with friendly personal interaction.

I highly recommend Wilson Lawyers.  They were very professional and efficient handling by Will.  Nothing was too much trouble for them.  They explained clearly any detail I wasn’t sure of.  I cannot speak highly enough of them.

It is and has always been a very satisfying experience every time we have found it necessary, in over 35 years, to use the services of this practice.

The people in this practice, although not all are known to us, are competent at their individual specialties and we will continue to rely on Bill and his Team.
