We recognise that our commercial clients have personal legal needs that require attention.  We have tailored our practice to provide solutions for key areas such as estate planning and powers of attorney.

We think it’s just as important for our clients to plan with us for their non-business needs.

By focussing on defined areas of law, we can concentrate our expertise on the issues that really matter to our personal lives.

Our commercial clients regularly use companies and trusts to manage their personal and business affairs.  It is imperative that their estate planning is fully integrated with those arrangements via the use of testamentary trusts.

Trusts are widely used as part of inheritance planning, both to minimise taxation and as a way of controlling what happens to wealth and property after the owner's death.

Although many executors of wills are sound decision makers, they can often benefit from our expertise satisfying probate requirements, administering estates and accounting to beneficiaries.  We manage the administration of many estates and deal with the legal issues that arise from them.

Many of our wills and estates clients have a long-standing relationship with us, often going back decades.

The need to plan for beyond death often overshadows the problems that can arise whilst alive.  Illness, accidents and travel can place relatives in a dilemma if no-one has the legally recognised power to attend to affairs during your absence or incapacity.

Powers of attorney can be prepared to cover almost every conceivable scenario; from a short trip overseas to a debilitating and unexpected accident.

They can also be coupled with Advanced Health Directives, so relatives can be instructed ahead of time what treatment is to be given or withheld in the case serious injury or illness.

We have both the understanding and experience to assist you in this area.
