Current Practice
- Drafting Wills, Buy Sell Agreements between company directors, directions to Trustees, Binding Death Benefit Nominations, Self Managed Superannuation Fund Trust Deeds and all aspects of advice on estate planning and asset protection for both individual and business interests.
- Previous experience in commercial litigation in the District and Supreme Courts of Queensland, including debt recovery, bankruptcy proceedings in the Federal Magistrates Court and insolvency litigation including public examinations, mediation of commercial disputes as well as Planning and Environment Court matters.
Specific Experience
- Commercial Litigation - Includes acting on behalf of companies and individuals in defendant and plaintiff capacity in a range of different commercial disputes in the Queensland Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts. Drafting court documents including claims, defenses, further and better particulars and reply's. Drafting witness statement's expert reports and affidavit material to be read before the court. Instructing Junior and Queens Counsel and advice to clients on the conduct of matters before the courts.
- Injunctive Relief – Instructing counsel in the Queensland Court of Appeal and in applications for and against Interlocutory Injunctions in connection with commercial litigation.
- Debt Recovery – Drafting, filing and serving warrants for execution and hearings into the assets of judgement debtors on behalf of commercial collection services as agent for the top tier banks as well as negotiation with debtors for the recovery and settlement of unsatisfied debts including:
- Letters of demand;
- Drafting and filing Bankruptcy Notices;
- Organizing service of notices and petitions;
- Creditors Petitions;
- Drafting, executing and filing of all necessary affidavits supporting bankruptcy process;
- Negotiation with debtors on instructions from client at all stages of the bankruptcy process;
- Appearance in Federal Magistrates Court for sequestration orders and adjournments;
Insolvency – All aspects of the company insolvency process including:
- Drafting and serving s459 Statutory Demands;
- Drafting, filing and serving of all affidavits, statutory notices and advertising required in the insolvency process;
- Negotiation with debtors, liquidators and supporting creditors;
- Appearances Supreme Court on behalf of applicants, substituting and supporting creditors;
- Review of administrators and liquidators reports and deeds of company arrangement in winding up applications;
- Drafting, filing and serving of all affidavits, statutory notices and advertising required in the insolvency process;
- Negotiation with debtors, liquidators and supporting creditors;
- Appearances at applications in Supreme Court on behalf of applicants, substituting and supporting creditors for winding up orders and adjournments;
- Review of administrators and liquidators reports for advice to clients on merits of deeds of company arrangement and or winding up applications.

- Queensland Cricket Grade Committee - All matters of Brisbane Grade Cricket and responsible for hearing and judging the Player Code of Conduct, Spirit of Cricket and Code of Behaviour including racial and sexual vilification, bullying and other harassment issues.
